About this event

Have you ever wondered how to integrate communication solutions in your application? Are you new to development and want to learn how to integrate Africa's Talking APIs?

Then welcome to the Africa's Talking Women in Technology Community event launching in Kampala, Uganda.

Why Attend?

The purpose of this event is to introduce Africa's Talking, a platform that lets developers use communication services via APIs, such as SMS, Voice, USSD, airtime, data and mobile payments, in their applications. There will be a presentation and hands-on demonstrations at this event.

Additionally, the event will also draw your attention to community events such as thrilling hackathons hosted in the community every month. You will get training on the nature of hackathons, what they entail and how you can make the best possible use of them to gain skills, network, opportunities and even rewards.

This event will give you a chance to:

  • Discover Africa's Talking and how it can benefit programmers, businesses, and IT lovers.
  • Learn about hackathons and how taking part in them may help you develop new skills, expand your network, and open up interesting opportunities.
  • Establish helpful connections, share experiences, and network with other like-minded women in the tech field.
  • Have fun with icebreaker activities, games, and refreshments in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
