Dr. Umar Adam Ibrahim, Ph.D., is an accomplished academician, researcher, and startup advisor, holding a BSc in Computer Engineering, an MSc, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science. His research expertise centers on Natural Language Processing, with a specific emphasis on Speech Recognition and its diverse applications.

Certified as an AI practitioner and recognized as a mentor for startup and STEM activities, Dr. Umar is a passionate advocate for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. His commitment extends to areas such as providing quality education, fostering industry and innovation, and addressing climate change, showcasing a holistic approach to societal impact.

Dr. Umar is an active member of the IEEE community, contributing significantly in various roles. Currently serving as the Secretary of IEEE Young Professional Nigeria, Web Lead for the IEEE R8 Entrepreneurship Committee, and Ambassador for IEEE TV, he has left a lasting imprint on initiatives like Google Developer Student Clubs and IEEE Entrepreneurship and Initiative Week.
