About this event

Climate Change is the defining issue of our time and we are at a defining moment. From shifting weather patterns that threaten food production, to rising sea levels that increase the risk of catastrophic flooding, the impacts of climate change are global in scope and unprecedented in scale. Without drastic action today, adapting to these impacts in the future will be more difficult and costly.


"Unlocking Solutions, One Code at a Time: The Nairobi County Government, in strategic partnership with Africa's Talking and Circular Innovation Hub, is proud to present this month's edition of Innovate Nairobi Hackathon, themed 'Climate Change Hackathon.' Hosted at the state-of-the-art WEE Centre in Nairobi, this event brings together the city's brightest minds, software engineers, IoT Engineers, technologists, entrepreneurs, and environmentalists to tackle our planet's most pressing challenge—climate change. This 10-hour coding marathon aims to generate actionable, sustainable solutions for local environmental problems, harnessing the transformative power of technology. Join us to code for change, innovate for impact, and build a greener tomorrow for Nairobi, Kenya, and the world beyond. Let's change the climate of possibility!"

Elarian is a customer engagement framework (Customer Data Platform) that helps you build robust applications with the customer as the unit of abstraction. Elarian features robust capability in handling end to end of customer data.

Africa's Talking powers communications solutions across Africa with simplified access to telco infrastructure, developers use our powerful SMS, USSD, Voice, and Airtime APIs to bring their ideas to life, as they build and sustain scalable businesses.
