📣 Calling all parents with kids aged 8 to 14 years! 🚀 Are your kids tech enthusiasts or do you want to introduce them to the wonderful world of technology? Look no further! 🌟 Join us at Africa’s Talking Kids Coding event on August 18th for an unforgettable experience designed to ignite their passion for coding!


Get ready for a day filled with creativity, learning, and fun as we dive into the exciting world of coding with Scratch, in collaboration with our esteemed partners, Africa Creative Coding and Learning Foundation (ACCL).

At Africa’s Talking, we have been fostering a vibrant community of developers and hosting hackathons on a regular basis. This time, we are excited to extend our expertise and knowledge to young minds who are eager to explore the wonders of coding.

During this event, your children will have the opportunity to learn, grow, collaborate, unleash their creativity and so much more!

  1. Interactive Learning with Scratch: Our skilled mentors will guide the young participants through Scratch, an easy-to-use programming language that empowers them to create interactive stories, animations, and games. No prior coding experience is necessary.
  2. Hands-on Fun Activities: We believe in learning by doing! We will engage your kids in exciting hands-on coding exercises and challenges that allow them to apply their newfound knowledge and unleash their creativity using Makey Makey and Microbit Kits. Watch their imagination soar as they bring their ideas to life through coding.
  3. Creativity Unleashed: At Africa’s Talking, we celebrate creativity! 🎨 We'll provide a nurturing environment where kids can explore their creativity through coding and discover the endless possibilities technology offers.
  4. Collaboration and Knowledge Exchange: Your children will have the chance to connect with like-minded young coders and exchange knowledge with our supportive community. 🤝 Encourage them to make new friends who share their passion for technology.
