Module 6

Module Details: Build a Gemini Powered Flutter App

What it is:

This session walks developers through building a Flutter application powered by Google’s Gemini API, combining the simplicity of cross-platform UI development with the intelligence of Generative AI. You’ll learn how to integrate the Gemini API into a Flutter app using Google’s SDKs, manage real-time interactions between the app and the AI model, and handle prompt design, data exchange, and user-driven AI workflows. The session focuses on creating dynamic, context-aware mobile applications that harness Generative AI directly within the Flutter ecosystem.

Why it matters:

With mobile experiences becoming more intelligent and personalized, AI integration in Flutter apps unlocks new possibilities for creativity and productivity. The Gemini API enables developers to build applications that can chat, summarize, recommend, and reason—all within a smooth Flutter interface. Learning how to connect Flutter with Gemini gives you the power to deliver smart, responsive, and conversational features natively across Android and iOS. Whether you’re building AI assistants, creative tools, or productivity apps, this session equips you with the skills to bridge mobile and Generative AI development seamlessly.

What you’ll build:

You’ll build a Gemini-powered Flutter app that takes user input, sends it to the Gemini API for processing, and displays intelligent, context-aware responses in real time. You’ll explore UI design for conversational experiences, manage API calls securely, and implement backend logic using Google’s AI SDKs and Firebase for state management and deployment. By the end of the session, you’ll have a fully functional mobile app capable of leveraging Generative AI to provide dynamic, interactive user experiences.
